Code GPT for VS Code
Explain, fix, test and write code inside your editor.
Install
Download it from the apps page. In VS Code, open Extensions (Ctrl+Shift+X), press … › Install from VSIX… and choose the file.
Connect
Click the Code GPT icon on the left, press Connect your account, then Allow in the browser. If the browser asks to open VS Code, press Open.
Use it
- Select code, right-click › Code GPT › Explain, Find and fix bugs, Improve, Write tests, or Add comments.
- Ctrl + Alt + G (Mac: Cmd + Alt + G): describe code and Code GPT writes it at your cursor.
- Every code block in an answer has Insert at cursor and Replace selection.
- Chat in the sidebar; tick Include the open file to ask about it.
It also works in Cursor and VSCodium.
